Sylvain Waserman has built his career around three experiences: entrepreneur, local elected representative and community volunteer.
He was 8 years Managing Director of an energy company in Strasbourg (300 people), creating a territorial energy model. From 2007 to 2017, he was Mayor of Quatzenheim (800 inhabitants). In 2015, he was elected to the Regional Council of the Grand Est where he chairs the economic development committee, in charge of development strategy. He was a volunteer for 7 years in a pioneering association of the Civic Service which he co-chaired for 3 years, convinced that civic commitment must be at the heart of our society.
At the National Assembly, he is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and is involved in the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly. As VP, he works on lobbying and the overhaul of legislative processes. He has proposed a law on associative engagement which was unanimously adopted.
Full Member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights and the Sub-Committee on the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (since 2017)
