September in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue statt, wobei die Europäische Demokratische Partei parallel zu dieser Veranstaltung mit ihren Europatagen aktiv daran teilnahm. Drei Tage lang wurde Südfrankreich zum pulsierenden Zentrum der pro-europäischen Debatte, mit einem dichten Programm an Rundtischgesprächen, Debatten und Initiativen, die den Bürgern offenstanden. Der Stand der EDP, der stets gut besucht und belebt war, bot Raum für direkten und kontinuierlichen Dialog und bestätigte die zentrale Rolle der Partei als Brücke zwischen den Institutionen und der Zivilgesellschaft. Ein Höhepunkt war die Plenardebatte „Sind die Vereinigten Staaten noch unsere Verbündeten?“, an der Sandro Gozi, Generalsekretär der EDP und Europaabgeordneter von Renew Europe, teilnahm. Zusammen mit Experten und Persönlichkeiten aus Wissenschaft und Politik betonte Sandro Gozi die Dringlichkeit, die transatlantischen Beziehungen auf der Grundlage von Gegenseitigkeit und geteilter Verantwortung neu zu definieren, im Einklang mit der Vision eines autonomeren und aktiveren Europas im globalen Gleichgewicht. ![Website of the European Democrats - https://democrats.eu](https://democrats.eu/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/54823539341_ffb8a8c928_o-2048x1365.jpg "Website of the European Democrats The EDP takes centre stage at the MoDem's autumn conference in Provence")Alongside him, the other French MEPs from the EDP – Laurence Farreng, Christophe Grudler and Marie-Pierre Vedrenne – led several thematic debates. From industrial transition to the future of trade agreements, from youth policies to the role of universities, their contribution demonstrated the French delegation’s ongoing commitment to an inclusive, competitive Europe capable of protecting rights and opportunities. During these days, the European Democrats also facilitated fruitful exchanges with Serbian representatives, demonstrating a willingness to engage in openness and dialogue beyond the borders of the European Union. In addition, a significant meeting took place with the Walloon Minister for Health and the Environment from our Belgian party, highlighting the importance of transnational cooperation and the driving role played by EDP members in strengthening ties between different European countries. Er erinnerte nachdrücklich daran, dass „es ein schwarzer Tag war, als der Führer der weltweit führenden Macht einseitig beschloss, dass unsere Produkte besonderen Zöllen unterliegen sollten, und die Europäische Union sich dem beugte \[...\]”, und betonte, dass der Aufbau eines autonomen und respektierten Europas nach wie vor das vorrangige Ziel derjenigen ist, die an das europäische Ideal glauben. Seine Anwesenheit bekräftigte die Kontinuität und Stärke der Verbindung zwischen der MoDem und der EDP, einer Partnerschaft, die in der Fraktion Renew Europe ihren natürlichen Rahmen findet und täglich zum Aufbau eines bürgernahen Europas beiträgt. Die diesjährige Ausgabe hat gezeigt, dass die Europäische Demokratische Partei nicht nur eine autoritative Stimme in den Palästen von Brüssel und Straßburg ist, sondern auch eine führende Rolle bei der territorialen Verankerung und im Dialog mit den Bürgern spielt. Dieses Engagement wird auch in den nächsten Schritten fortgesetzt, mit dem Ziel, die Werte Demokratie, Solidarität und gemeinsame Verantwortung immer mehr in den Mittelpunkt der europäischen Debatte zu rücken. This year’s edition demonstrated that the European Democratic Party is not only an authoritative voice in the halls of Brussels and Strasbourg, but also a leading player in regional engagement and dialogue with citizens.
