"The reconstructions of Russian propaganda actions against Macron".
The Olympics and the IOC are very worrying if they are confirmed. If we look at the events of recent weeks, from the controversy over the inauguration to the boxing match with the Algerian athlete, there is no doubt that there is a common thread: in all cases we are faced with fake news (the painting was not the Last Supper and the athlete is a woman), skilfully pumped up by the European and American right wing with the blatant complicity of the Kremlin, as the intervention of the Iba – in the hands of a Russian tycoon and linked to the giant Gazprom – shows.
One of the targets is Macron
And it is no coincidence that one of the targets is Macron, today the European leader most at odds with Moscow. The Russian manuals of hybrid warfare are all there: take divisive issues (yesterday migrants, abortion, the Green Deal, women’s rights, today LGBT rights), stir up opposing factions and make the West more polarised, more internally divided and therefore weaker. In all this, the fact that a social network, X-Twitter, is in the hands of an entrepreneur who is one of the nerve centres of this propaganda network, complicates matters further.
For the health of our democracies
The sooner the European Union succeeds in responding effectively to these real attacks on its founding values of freedom, respect, tolerance and welcome, by actually implementing the rules adopted during the last parliamentary term, the better it will be for the health of our democracies“.
Sandro Gozi, Secretary General of the European Democratic Party and member of the Renew Presidency, said in a release.
