A new MEP among the European Democrats
Our European political party met online this Wednesday 9 December for its Council.
François Bayrou, President of the European Democratic Party insisted that: "We are in the most important crisis since the Second World War and the future will be more demanding and problematic concerning the epidemic, the fall in GDP and the loss of cohesion in each country. Everybody has to take responsibility".
During this Council, the representatives of the democratic political parties from thirteen Member States welcomed a new individual member, the MEP from the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament, the Italian Nicola Danti.
The European Democratic Party also debated on the topic of "Climate, economic, social and migration crises: what solutions at the EU level? They subsequently adopted a common position on four motions :
- The Recovery Plan, multiannual financial framework, own resources, conditionality and rule of law

The Council members finally carried out an in-depth analysis of the political situation in the Member States represented.
