Story

Repubblica Futura is a liberal-democratic and reformist party from San Marino, the world's oldest surviving republic. Heir to a long tradition of civic and reformist politics on the Titano, it works to modernise the institutions of the ancient republic and to bring it closer to the European Union, with which San Marino shares deep historical and cultural ties.

At the heart of the party's project lie institutional modernisation, transparency and a European-minded approach to public affairs: good governance, the renewal of the republic's institutions, and a steady drawing-closer to Europe — including through San Marino's path towards an Association Agreement with the European Union. It approaches politics in a pragmatic, reform-oriented spirit.

Within the European Democratic Party, which it joined in 2006, Repubblica Futura embodies a conviction at the core of the EDP's vision: that the European project is built not only by the Union's largest members but by every people, however small, that shares its democratic values — and that Europe's neighbours have a full place in its future.
