An EDP vice president since 2010, Andrzej Potocki is a philosopher and writer, and a former member from 1991 to 2001 of the Sejm – the Polish parliament. He served as head and political officer of Association of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, or OSCE, missions in the Balkans and Middle East, vice president, and international secretary of Stronnictwo Demokratyczne (SD). He presents internationally the SiD Foundation – Fundacja Samorzadnosc I Demokracja – which is a member organisation of the Institute of European Democrats. Besides politics and history of ideas, he authors books on history of football and on crime novels in the communist era.

Ciaran Mullooly, new Irish independent MEP for the European Democratic Party

The European Democratic Party is pleased to announce that it has received and accepted the application for individual membership of Irish MEP Ciaran Mullooly, elected in the Midlands-North-West constituency. Accordingly, the European Democratic Party has forwarded the documentation to the Renew Europe group for its membership, that was accepted today. With Mullooly’s membership, the EDP rises to 10 MEPs.
