Donatella Porzi was born in Perugia in 1966. She has been an alternate Member of the Committee of the Regions since January 2020 and is part of the Renew Europe Group in the Committee of the Regions. As of October 2022, she has been a member of Azione. She became politically involved in 2004 with her election and appointment as local councillor for education, youth, and social policy in the municipality of Cannara. From 2009-2014, Porzi was Councillor for cultural, youth, social, legality, equal opportunities, and European policy on a provincial level. She served on the board and chaired the Legislative Assembly of the Region of Umbria from 2015-2019.

Porzi’s educational background has complimented her positions, with a degree from Perugia ISEF and a SISS certification as a special needs teacher. Throughout her career she has always believed and upheld the importance of commitment to the service of community.

Towards the new migration pact: promoting local participation in the European response to the migration challenge

Coalición Canaria and the European Democratic Party organised a Seminar on Migration, Asylum and Refugees at the CICCA Cultural Centre in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
