Citizens' Safety

Europeans have the right to feel safe — in their streets, their homes and online. The European Democrats reject the false choice between liberty and security: we want effective police cooperation, justice that works, and protection from organised crime, without sacrificing the freedoms that make us who we are.

Safety is not propaganda, more guns or more cells. It is prevention, rights and institutions that work — the European way, not the authoritarian one.
