We are sorry but only EU citizens may make financial contributions to a European political party under Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 1141/2014. If you are not an EU citizen, the EDP cannot accept your contribution.
By becoming an EDP Supporter, you will join not only our European movement, but also an international network of people promoting these universal values around the world. Your support will help build a stronger, more democratic and more united Europe — and, with it, a more open, fairer and more humane world.
Every day, the European Democratic Party (EDP) works to defend democracy, the rule of law, individual freedoms and social cohesion throughout Europe and beyond.
By becoming a supporter, you can give concrete support to a pro-European, democratic and centrist political force, help us organise campaigns, events and civic initiatives across national borders, and become part of a European network of citizens who share the same values of freedom, responsibility and solidarity.
Supporter status offers a simple and inclusive way to be part of our European community, subject to formal admission by the Presidency as required by the EDP Statutes.
Once your application has been approved by the Presidency, you will be invited to participate in European Democrats' consultations, campaigns and events, receive dedicated information about our activities and European political work, be regularly consulted and involved by the Party's bodies and its operational team, and be involved in transnational grassroots initiatives and networks.
EDP supporters are not members of the association within the meaning of the Party's statutes (see Article 7bis of the new EDP Statutes as approved by the Bilbao Congress on 21 November 2025, see below) and do not have voting rights in the statutory bodies. Supporter status is a form of personal and voluntary affiliation that complements the existing framework for EDP membership.
Any citizen of a Member State of the European Union who shares the values of the European Democratic Party may apply, including members of national or regional parties affiliated with the EDP. All applications must be approved by the Presidency in accordance with Article 7bis of the EDP Statutes.
Supporters must act in their own name and using their own personal funds.
In line with Article 20 of Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 1141/2014, contributions cannot come from public authorities, from private entities, or from individuals who are not eligible under EU rules to support European political parties.

Becoming an EDP supporter involves a symbolic annual contribution of €50. This contribution expresses a personal and concrete commitment to our European project, supports communication, awareness-raising and citizen engagement activities across Europe, and is managed in full compliance with the financial rules of the European Parliament and Regulation (EU) No 1141/2014. In accordance with Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 1141/2014 (Recital 34), as your donation is well below EUR 1,500 per calendar year, your identity is not published publicly on the website of the Authority for European Political Parties and Foundations (APPF).
Transparency at the heart of our commitment
Your contribution supports European-level campaigns on democracy, the rule of law and citizens' rights, public events, debates and training activities in all Member States, online communication tools that reach citizens across national borders, and coordination with EDP member parties, activists and democratic partners.
We are committed to ensuring financial transparency and the responsible use of all contributions entrusted to us.
Once your payment is completed, you will automatically receive a confirmation email and payment receipt at the address you provided. Please keep this email for your records.
The EDP is funded, in part, by the European Union. Contributions are governed by Regulation (EU) 1141/2014 on European political parties and foundations and the financial rules of the European Parliament and the APPF. We collect a limited set of personal data and declarations for the sole purpose of ensuring compliance. All data is processed in accordance with the GDPR und the EDP Privacy Policy.
