The 50PLUS party, established in the Netherlands in 2009, is dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of the elderly. It prioritizes issues such as pension reforms, healthcare, and social security. Since its establishment, 50PLUS has participated in national elections in the Netherlands, steadily gaining support and parliamentary seats. The party's platform emphasizes social security, healthcare, and pension reforms to improve the quality of life for seniors. Despite internal challenges, the party has secured parliamentary representation and remains committed to addressing the concerns of senior citizens in Dutch politics. In 2023, 50PLUS joined the European Democratic Party and this year they decided to run for the European elections.
Adriana has a long history within 50PLUS. As a member from the very beginning (2010), she joined the main board at an early age during the time that Jan Nagel was chairman. In 2015 she was elected to the general board of the AA en Maas Water Board. A position she has filled successfully for eight years. Adriana is currently a city councillor in 's-Hertogenbosch, a position she has held since 2018. Within 50PLUS, Adriana has made a name for herself as an inspired and successful campaigner during various campaigns.
