Story
Catherine Chabaud (born 29 November 1962, Bron) is a French sailor, journalist and MoDem politician, renowned as the first woman to complete the Vendée Globe solo race (1997). She served as MEP from 2019 to 2024, focusing on ocean and maritime issues, and has been Minister Delegate for the Sea and Fishery since October 2025.
