War has returned to our continent, and the old certainties are gone. The European Democrats say it plainly: Europe needs its own army — shared command, shared capabilities, a real European defence industry — and unwavering support for Ukraine. Twenty-seven national armies that cannot act together are a luxury we can no longer afford.

A continent that depends on others for its survival is not free. Building a European army is building our independence — and our peace.
