Über mich
I am a 44-year-old engineer from Bilbao, a Basque speaker and a mother. I am passionate about Euskadi, its people and the values that identify us professionally, personally and, in short, as human beings. I have 7 years of experience in the field of technology, in ICT and customer service. I have dedicated 12 years to the intense and passionate municipal life as a Councillor of Bilbao City Council, trying to contribute to everything that would improve public services, the quality of life of the people and the competitiveness of the city. I was responsible for health, equality, international relations and the management of European funds. Later I moved to the Provincial Council of Bizkaia as Director General for Good Governance, Citizen Services and Digital Services I like challenges, learning new things, meeting different people and working in a team. My musts are my family, my friends, sports and moments alone. I would focus my mandate on digitalisation, re-industrialisation, competitiveness, reducing administrative burdens for agriculture and fisheries, unity in diversity, promoting minority languages… among others.

Vor dreißig Jahren wurden in Srebrenica mehr als 8.000 bosniakische Männer und Jungen von der bosnisch-serbischen Armee ermordet. Im Jahr 2007 stellte der Internationale Gerichtshof fest, dass diese Gräueltaten einen Völkermord darstellen. Im weiteren Verlauf des Bosnienkriegs wurden zwischen 1992 und 1995 über 100.000 Menschen getötet, Tausende Frauen vergewaltigt und mehr als zwei Millionen Menschen aus ihren Häusern vertrieben. Zu diesem feierlichen Anlass des Gedenkens an eines der dunkelsten Kapitel der jüngeren europäischen Geschichte sind sich die ALDE-Partei, die LIBSEEN-Mitglieder in der Region, die ALDE in der Parlamentarischen Versammlung des Europarates, die Europäische Demokratische Partei, die Liberale Internationale, LYMEC, Renew Europe im Ausschuss der Regionen, Renew Europe im Europäischen Parlament und die Jungen Demokraten für Europa einig und geben die folgende Erklärung ab:

Die Demokratische Partei Europas war Mitveranstalterin und spielte eine zentrale Rolle beim Gipfeltreffen der Staats- und Regierungschefs und der Parteivorsitzenden unserer demokratischen, liberalen und zentristischen Familie am 26. Juni im Maison de la Poste in Brüssel. Sandro Gozi, Generalsekretär der PDE, leitete die Delegation der Demokraten und trug zur Verabschiedung der gemeinsamen Erklärung „Freiheit in der Offensive” bei, einer klaren und mutigen Antwort auf die populistische Welle und die Bedrohungen der Demokratie in Europa.
