● President (Lehendakari) of the Basque Government
Imanol Pradales Gil is a Basque politician from the Basque Nationalist Party (EAJ-PNV) who became Lehendakari (President) of the Basque Government in June 2024. Before his current role, he served in various leadership positions in the Foral Council of Bizkaia, including as Foral Deputy of Infrastructure and Territorial Development. During the 2024 Basque regional election, he led the PNV to victory with 35.2% of the vote, forming a coalition government with the Socialist Party. Pradales is known for his focus on talent management and economic development, and he previously worked as the managing director of Bizkaia Talent. He was notably the victim of a pepper spray attack during the 2024 election campaign, which did not deter his political momentum.
