The recent Zukunftsmacher EUROPA 3.0 event in Kassel, organized by the European Democratic Party, brought together individuals driven by the belief that the future is not a coincidence, but a reality that can be actively shaped.
The event emphasized the idea of actively shaping the future of Europe instead of merely being shaped by it. More than 50 people all around Germany participated in this event and highlighted the collective desire to influence the trajectory of Europe’s future: they expressed the sentiment that initiatives and decisions made at the European level have a direct impact on their own lives, particularly echoing significance in rural regions.
Our MEP Engin Eroglu was the key speaker of this event, and other politicians as Tobias Gotthardt and Frédéric Petit took part, sharing their insight on the importance of the European Union at a local level. The emphasis on inclusivity and collaboration was evident, with each individual bringing their unique strengths and perspectives to contribute to a cohesive whole.
Through discussions and teamwork, the event revealed the potential to create impactful solutions by leveraging the diverse expertise of the participants. Participants identified the challenge posed by excessive and often incomprehensible regulations in the past years. This highlighted the need for more thoughtful and streamlined regulations, acknowledging the importance of freedom and breathing space within the European landscape.
The Zukunftsmacher EUROPA 3.0 event provided a compelling platform for individuals to come together, share their aspirations, and actively engage with the future of Europe. By embracing collaboration, taking local impact into account, and advocating for inclusive governance, the event showcased a remarkable commitment to shaping a future that embraces diversity, freedom, and empowerment.
