Story

Young Democrats for Europe (YDE / Jeunes Démocrates européens) is the youth organisation of the European Democratic Party. It brings together young pro-European democrats from across the continent, united by centrist, humanist and liberal-democratic values and by a shared commitment to the European project.

At the heart of YDE's mission lies the engagement of a new generation in European political life: the defence of democracy and the rule of law, the deepening of European integration, and the conviction that young Europeans must be actors — not spectators — in shaping the Union's future. It offers a space for debate, mobilisation and political formation across borders.

Within the European Democratic family, YDE embodies a conviction at the core of the EDP's vision: that the future of Europe belongs to those who will inherit it, and that a generation which grows up European is Europe's surest source of strength.
