Die „48 Stunden von Europa“ war eine erfolgreiche Veranstaltung. Dank der französischen Europaabgeordneten Marie-Pierre Vedrenne wurde das Château des Pères in der Bretagne am 16. und 17. November 2023 für die vierte Ausgabe der 48 Stunden von Europa zu einem echten europäischen Knotenpunkt. Was wurde geboten?
Das Programm bot rund 350 jungen Menschen aus der Bretagne eine einzigartige Plattform zum Lernen und Austauschen und stellte gleichzeitig die Europäische Union vor. Die Aufklärung junger Menschen über die europäische Politik ist von entscheidender Bedeutung, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die nächsten Europawahlen: Aus diesem Grund organisiert die Europaabgeordnete Marie-Pierre Vedrenne jedes Jahr diese fruchtbare Veranstaltung, bei der Hunderte von jungen Menschen in Vorträgen und Diskussionen über Europa diskutieren.
Im Mittelpunkt des Programms standen parlamentarische Simulationen, bei denen die Schüler der Mittel- und Oberstufe die Funktionsweise der europäischen Politik hautnah miterleben konnten. Die Gruppe Breizh France Finistère organisierte diese Simulationen, die sowohl unterhaltsam als auch lehrreich war und den jungen Teilnehmern die Möglichkeit gab, in die Rolle von Europaabgeordneten zu schlüpfen und an Debatten und Entscheidungen über aktuelle europäische Themen teilzunehmen. Es ist einfacher, die EU zu verstehen, wenn man die europäischen Themen durch die Brille der Europaabgeordneten betrachtet: In diesen 48 Stunden Europa wird das Politikerdasein zur Realität!
Viele Schülerinnen und Schüler lobten die Struktur und den Inhalt der Veranstaltung und betonten, dass die Komplexität der Politik dadurch zugänglicher und verständlicher wurde. Die Arbeit in den Ausschüssen, das Verhandeln, das Einbringen von Änderungsanträgen und das Debattieren über persönlich bedeutsame Themen verlangte den Schülern zwar viel Einsatz ab, machte aber erstaunlicherweise auch richtig Spaß.
So hatten die Schüler beispielsweise die Aufgabe, über drei aktuelle Themen abzustimmen: knappe Rohstoffe, Einwanderung und das Verbot von Glyphosat, was zu konstruktiven und aussagekräftigen Meinungen führte.
Die positive Resonanz der Schüler, die von ihren Lehrern begleitet wurden, unterstrich ihr aufkeimendes Interesse an der Politik. Darüber hinaus spiegelte die Beteiligung von Verbänden an der Veranstaltung das wachsende Interesse junger Menschen an politischen Angelegenheiten wider.
Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass die Veranstaltung "48 Stunden Europa" dank der engagierten Bemühungen der französischen Europaabgeordneten Marie-Pierre Vedrenne und der Gruppe Breizh France Finistère ein voller Erfolg war. Dieses umfassende Programm bot Gelegenheit zum Lernen, zum Austausch und zum Engagement und machte die Funktionsweise der Europäischen Union auf effektive Weise deutlich.

In recent months, hundreds of people have been arrested in Serbia, including students and peaceful citizens. Many of them remain in prison today, facing charges that are essentially political. In practice, this undermines their freedom of expression and discourages democratic participation. It is not the citizens who are destabilising the country: it is your government, repressing the right to protest.
In March, during a commemoration in Novi Sad, a sonic cannon (LRAD) was used against demonstrators, A weapon, capable of provoking harsh pain, panic and permanent hearing damage. A practice that has nothing to do with the european standards you claim to embrace.
On 15 August, a video showed fifteen young people forced to their knees against a wall, filmed by police officers. An act of public humiliation, in total contempt for human dignity and contrary to every democratic standard.
And this was not an isolated case: in those same days, other footage and testimonies clearly showed worrying heavy-handed arrests, with students dragged to the ground, women and even minors treated without regard for their rights.
While students are beaten and arrested, citizens have witnessed violent groups apparently close to your party moving about undisturbed.
This selective tolerance raises serious concerns of rule of law.
Equally serious is the attack on freedom of information. N1, a news channel belonging to United Media (United Group), has been the target of a campaign of intimidation and pressure documented in recordings published by OCCRP/KRIK. You know perfectly well that silencing the last independent broadcaster means suffocating truth and pluralism.
President Vučić, it is not the youth, it is not the citizens, it is not the demonstrators who are jeopardising the European path of Serbia: Serbia belongs to Europe. But it is you — with your policies, your denyal your statements — which are undermining the credibility and the european path of your country.
Your accusations against Nikolina Sindjelić are embarrassing . The evidence shows that threats, unlawful arrests and violence have indeed taken place: personal attacks do not erase reality.

Serbian citizens deserve much better and Europe is something else: freedom, dignity, democracy.
