ΑΛΜΑ – Πολίτες για την Κύπρο

ALMA – Citizens for Cyprus is a Cypriot centrist and reformist party founded in 2025 by Odysseas Michaelides, the country's former Auditor General, who built his public reputation on the defence of transparency and the fight against the misuse of public funds. From those roots, ALMA was conceived as a political home for citizens demanding integrity, accountability and a renewal of public life.

The party places at the centre of its project the rule of law, clean and transparent institutions, and the modernisation of the Cypriot state. It combines a firm commitment to good governance with a constructive, pro-European outlook, and stresses the importance of European engagement in the search for a fair and lasting settlement of the Cyprus question.

Within the European Democratic Party, which it joined in 2025, ALMA embodies a conviction at the core of the EDP's vision: that democracy is sustained not only by elections but by integrity, transparency and institutions that genuinely serve their citizens.
