Europe must move beyond naïveté towards China. The EDP backs a stronger EU approach based on economic security, reciprocity and strategic autonomy, while rejecting decoupling.

EDP members and Bavarian representatives met in Brussels to discuss regional development, SMEs and the role of municipalities in shaping a stronger and more citizen-focused European Union.

NextGen Europe, promoted by Engin Eroglu for the EDP, brought together participants from several countries in Ludwigsburg to develop ideas on China, migration, security and the economy in an open democratic workshop.

Die Demokratische Partei Europas war Mitveranstalterin und spielte eine zentrale Rolle beim Gipfeltreffen der Staats- und Regierungschefs und der Parteivorsitzenden unserer demokratischen, liberalen und zentristischen Familie am 26. Juni im Maison de la Poste in Brüssel. Sandro Gozi, Generalsekretär der PDE, leitete die Delegation der Demokraten und trug zur Verabschiedung der gemeinsamen Erklärung „Freiheit in der Offensive” bei, einer klaren und mutigen Antwort auf die populistische Welle und die Bedrohungen der Demokratie in Europa.

Between 18 and 21 May 2025, Engin Eroglu, Executive Vice President of the EDP, joined a high-profile delegation organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC) for an important visit to Washington, D.C.

The EDP forum in Las Palmas highlights the need for a humane and united European migration policy, supporting border regions and countries of origin through solidarity and cooperation.
