Our Secretary General Sandro Gozi will represent the Renew Europe Now platform in the Eurovision discussion alongside other leading contenders for the European elections on 23 May 2024, from 15:00 to 17:00.
This event is an important opportunity for us, the European Democrats, to express our views on a global stage.
The Eurovision Debate is a major event in the European political landscape, where representatives from different parties discuss the most pressing issues facing Europe.
This debate, which follows the Bruegel-Financial Times debate on May 21 and the Maastricht Debate on April 29, will take place in the European Parliament’s hemicycle in Brussels from 15:00 to 17:00.
This is the final debate in the run-up to the European elections, which will be held in all EU Member States on June 6-9. It is organised by the European Broadcasting Union.
Participants will be tested on six major topics: the economy and jobs; defense and security; climate and environment; democracy and leadership; migration and borders; and innovation and technology.
There are five participants:

- Sandro Gozi – Renew Europe Now
- Terry Reintke (European Green)
- Nicolas Schmit (Party of European Socialists)
- Ursula von der Leyen (European People’s Party)
