Il Partito Democratico Europeo (PDE), partito politico europeo e membro del gruppo parlamentare Renew Europe, ha tenuto una riunione dei suoi leader giovedì 23 giugno a Bruxelles.
Al Leaders' Summit organizzato dal nostro gruppo parlamentare Renew Europe, i leader del PDE Matteo RENZI - leader di Italia Viva, Andoni ORTUZAR - presidente del nostro membro basco Euzko Alderdi Jeltzalea, Engin EROGLU - vicepresidente del nostro membro tedesco Freie Wähler e Sandro GOZI - segretario generale del PDE, accompagnati dagli eurodeputati Nicola DANTI e Izaskun BILBAO BARANDICA, hanno discusso le attuali questioni centrali in Europa per promuovere una visione democratica coerente per il futuro e fornire soluzioni concrete alle sfide che ci attendono.
In quanto membri dell'alleanza più pro-europea della politica europea, i Democratici europei ritengono che gli eventi ci stiano dando ragione: abbiamo bisogno di più Europa, non di meno, per raggiungere i nostri obiettivi collettivi. E noi vogliamo andare oltre.
A fianco del gruppo Renew Europe, siamo d'accordo nel difendere il rafforzamento dell'Europa come potenza geopolitica, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il nuovo ordine internazionale provocato dall'aggressione russa in Ucraina; l'accelerazione dell'agenda verde europea con le transizioni verdi e digitali; una tabella di marcia concreta verso la sovranità europea con l'autonomia energetica dell'Europa e gli investimenti nella ricerca e nell'innovazione; la rigenerazione del nostro sistema democratico, perché l'Europa deve diventare una democrazia transnazionale con un'identità europea.

Ciaran Mullooly, nuovo eurodeputato indipendente irlandese per il Partito Democratico Europeo
The European Democratic Party is pleased to announce that it has received and accepted the application for individual membership of Irish MEP Ciaran Mullooly, elected in the Midlands-North-West constituency. Accordingly, the European Democratic Party has forwarded the documentation to the Renew Europe group for its membership, that was accepted today. With Mullooly’s membership, the EDP rises to 10 MEPs.

Engin Eroglu, eletto come vice-presidente esecutivo di EDP
The European Democratic Party is pleased to announce that German Freie Wähler MEP Engin Eroglu has been elected executive vice-president.
“I am honoured to accept the nomination as Deputy Chairman of the European Democratic Party. I firmly believe in our centrist vision and am determined to advance the consolidation and revitalization efforts of recent years”, said Eroglu: “I will dedicate myself wholeheartedly to achieving our common goals and advancing the European Democratic Party. Together, we can create a strong, independent, and economically thriving European Union that provides security and prosperity for its citizens”.

Conferenza stampa: il nuovo membro Les Engagés si unisce al PDE
